About the Class: In this class, you will learn about and make stiff doughs from scratch. You will learn the reasons for using each basic ingredient in any bread (flour, liquid, leavening, fat sugar, salt ) and know how people that create recipes decide on the amount of each ingredient to use.
Skills that will be taught : As it pertains to the subject matter , reading recipes, weighing and measuring, proper use of knives, kitchen appliances and tools, mixing, kneading.
Class size will be limited to 8 as this is entirely a “hands on ” instruction class.
About the Instructor : Ann Rosenthal is a Registered Dietitian, Nutritionist, Mom and Grandmother. She loves to cook and eat (especially with kids !) and has taught food science, nutrition and cooking to people of all ages and stages in many places form any years. She is a firm believer in whole foods, simple prepared.
