Going out for lunch has new meaning when you come  for “Lunch & Learn”.  Bring your friends and enjoy a delicious meal while learning great culinary tips from Sheryl Grover.  She will provide you easy flavorful dishes perfect for week-night dinners, entertaining or family celebrations .  Look for Lunch & Learn classes each month 1 1/2 hours of enjoyment with your friends.  Hope you can join us.   Demonstration 

In this class ,we focus on Asparagus, or it’s folk name, “sparrow Grass”. it is a perennial flowering plant , whose young shoots are used as a spring vegetable.  Dating back to 3000BC and was used in medicine for it’s diuretic properties and it’s proported function as an aphrodisiac.

The class will start with a short presentation by Starla from My Sister’s Garden on varieties, growing and harvesting followed by delicious recipes for enjoying this wonderful spring vegetable.


*Asparagus Leek Tart – buttery pastry combined with crunchy asparagus and creamy cheese.

*Asparagus Soup with Basil Cream – Creamy pureed asparagus soup accented with a swirl of basil creme.

*Saffron Orzo with Asparagus & Proscuitto – Orzo pasta paired with the honey-like floral notes of saffron, add the clean taste of asparagus and crunchy smokey prosciutto.
*Asparagus with warm orange almond Vinaigrette – tender crisp poached asparagus accented with warm orange vinaigrette, topped with crunchy almonds.
About the instructor – Sheryl has been developing recipes and teaching for over 20 years.  She has a passion for travel and loves to wander the food markets in other countries .  Sheryl has degrees in nutrition and education.  Her goal is to make your cooking experience delicious, easy and fun.
