Our Story
Tasting Life Together
Grand Fete’s concept started years ago with Kay and Jane’s experience in the tabletop and houseware industries, working for corporate national and international market leaders. Kay’s experience included “setting the stage” for successful entertaining and national director of merchandising, working with national department stores to create the excitement that dominated department stores for generations. Jane’s experience was focused on national account sales manager which included setting successful market strategies for her brands. In 2010, Kay left the corporate world and began an entrepreneurial endeavor, opening Urban Olive & Vine, which included food & retail products. As the business growth developed more toward the restaurant industry, it was time to take the retail element to the next level with selling Urban Olive in 2017.
Kay and Jane worked together to develop a unique kitchen store concept, incorporating entertaining, gifts, ingredients, kitchen gadgets and of course, how to pull it all together by instructional classes. Our goal is to “inspire'“ as the kitchen is the center of living, learning and entertaining. Great kitchen tools and ingredients are the beginning to the enjoyment of great food. We work diligently to find the best products because after all…if we wouldn’t put it in our kitchen, why should you? The next step is to create an experience for your family and guests, so creating presentation ideas and accessories to accomplish that and meet today’s lifestyle needs to make it fun and memorable.
